For the parents and families of our children, Soar Family Support Inc is proposing to provide services and programs in four categories

Educational Support

• Expert and parent led Seminars at schools, public libraries and housing subdivisions etc.
• Publishing relevant information regarding different mental health disorders on SOAR’s website.
• Advocacy initiatives that include wellness in school presentations, peer to peer support groups etc.

Logistical Support

• Creating a network of volunteers willing to help families in need of logistical support such as driving, babysitting etc.

Financial Support

• Fundraising for families in need and following a documented process for approving the distribution of funds.

Community Support

• Monthly meetups for parents and families
• Community-based events in public parks, libraries etc.
• Volunteer events for fundraising related projects such as walk for OCD
• Volunteer events at schools, hospitals etc. including expert seminars, patient days etc.
• Provide information on medical resources available - therapists, psychiatrists
