Fireside Chat

This is the first community education event of 2026 hosted by SOAR Family Support Inc; a GA based 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on providing support for families of kids with Mental health challenges. We plan to host three more fireside chats this year.

Mark your calendars for Feb 5th, 2026 from 6:30pm till 8:00pm for a overarching information session on kid's mental health and early signs of anxiety distress and issues. Emory Healthcare Specialists will be presenting on the topic and some parents with lived experiences will join them for a discussion

Location: Emory John’s Creek Hospital

6325 Hospital Parkway

John’s Creek

Enter via main hospital entrance and let concierge know you’re there for a community meeting in Classrooms A&B

Our goals through this event are to -

  1. Raise early awareness about kids mental health challenges
  2. Create a community of parents supporting each other
  3. Raise funds for SOAR Family Support and Emory Healthcare

Details about the event

This fireside chat is with Dr. Allison Lopilato and Dr. Justine Welch of Emory University. Parents should learn about youth mental health challenges, early intervention and how to get help, the programs offered at Emory. They will also get to hear from other parents/members of Soar Family Support.

Make a pledge to support

By making a pledge to support this critical cause of mental health awareness, please help us in providing much needed education and parent to parent support groups within our communities. Pledging a small amount of $25, $50, $100 or any feasible help will further this initiative.
