Why SOAR Family Support Exists
We are a community of parents whose families have dealt with a range of mental health disorders, from OCD, depression, and anxiety related disorders to autism and ADHD. As we came together to support each other and share our experiences, we realized that there are so many parents who are new to these challenges and could benefit from communal support, especially by sharing their experiences in a safe space

Devika Basu (PhD) is the Assistant Clinical Director and Head of the Intensive Outpatient Program at the Anxiety Specialists of Atlanta located in Dunwoody, GA. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Emory University Department of Psychology. She specializes in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and anxiety spectrum

She specializes in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and anxiety spectrum disorders, as well as co-occurring challenges. She is especially passionate about improving accessibility to evidence-based care and is thrilled to be part of such an incredible like-minded team of individuals within SOAR.

Noriel (Nori) Lim, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Training Director of the Emory Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP) doctoral psychology internship program. Noriel (Nori) Lim, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Training Director of the Emory Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP) doctoral psychology internship program. He specializes in culturally informed, evidence-based treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders in children, teens, and young adults. Dr. Lim received his BA in Psychology and Anthropology from UC Berkeley, and his MA and PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed a year-long internship training in the Clinical Child Psychology Track at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, and a two-year fellowship at Emory CAMP before joining the Emory faculty.

Katherine (Katie) Ehrlich, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Georgia. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach to evaluating the ways in which the social world shapes mental and physical health. She is particularly interested in research questions about risk and resilience, minority health disparities, and close relationships in adolescence. Dr. Ehrlich received her BA in Psychology from Washington & Lee University and her PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed postdoctoral research training at Northwestern University before joining UGA in 2016.

Jensi Gise (PhD) is a clinical psychologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Behavioral and Mental Health. She specializes in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders in youth. She is passionate about empowering youth and families with knowledge and resources to overcome their mental health challenges and expanding

She is passionate about empowering youth and families with knowledge and resources to overcome their mental health challenges and expanding access to treatments for all youth. She received her doctorate from Georgia State University, completed her clinical internship at Stanford Children's Hospital, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine within the child OCD intensive outpatient program.
