We Are
A Community of Parents
Join us in supporting each other in our children's fight with mental health challenges.
Join us in supporting each other in our children's fight with mental health challenges.
We are a community of parents whose families have dealt with a range of mental health disorders, from OCD, depression, and anxiety related disorders to autism and ADHD. As we came together to support each other and share our experiences, we realized that there are so many parents who are new to these challenges and could benefit from communal support, especially by sharing their experiences in a safe space
SOAR Family Support Inc is a Georgia based non-profit organization which aims to increase awareness about children's mental health amongst parents and provide support to caregivers through education, advocacy initiatives that include wellness in school presentations, peer to peer support groups and community-based events.
Guided by the core values of compassion, empathy and empowerment we offer mental health education, support and organize events and activities that build awareness and destigmatize mental health and foster a community. We do not provide medical services, diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.
At SOAR Family Support, our mission is to improve the lives of children with mental health challenges through communal support. We are a community of parents supporting other parents new to these challenges.
We intend to offer a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of our community, including monthly community meetings for parents to share their needs, experiences and resources and financial assistance for families with limited income and their kids have regular therapy assistance needs.
